Meet Entry Policies

Titans Meet Entry Policies & Guidelines
All policies apply to athletes committed to enter a meet.

General Policies

  1. The coaching staff will determine all entries for all committed swimmers.

  1. Swimmers wishing to enter a meet after the entry deadline has passed will probably not be entered.

  1. Once entries are completed you will be charged for all fees regardless of actual participation.

Individual Entries
  1. You may have the option to select events when you sign up for a meet. Please feel free to do so. However, the coaching staff will make the final entry determination for each member of the Titans. Your selections may not be reflected in the final entry.

  1. Although there may be an occasional exception, the coaches are not likely to enter a swimmer in the longer distance of an event if the swimmer has not successfully completed the shorter distance of the same stroke successfully.
Examples:
  1. An 8 year old that has not successfully completed the 25 fly will probably not be entered in the 50 fly.
  2. A 10 year old that has not successfully completed the 50 breast will probably not be entered in the 100 breast.
  3. A 12 year old that has not successfully completed the 100 IM will probably not be entered in the 200 IM.

  1. Before entering a swimmer into the 400m/500y free the coaches will usually require that a swimmer have successfully completed the 200y free in 3:00.00 or faster.

  1. Before entering a swimmer in the 1500m/1650y free the coaches will usually require that a swimmer have successfully completed a 500y free in 7:30.00 or faster.

  1. Before entering a swimmer in the 400 IM coaches will usually require that a swimmer have successfully completed a 200 IM in 3:30.00 or faster.

Relay Entries
  1. The coaching staff will determine all relay team members at a meet.

  1. Relays will be entered if enough swimmers are entered in the meet to fill a relay team.

  1. Swimmers that fail to attend a meet or otherwise fail to participate in a relay to which they have been assigned may be required to pay the entire entry fee for the relay team.

  1. Relay entry fees will be billed out after a meet to reflect actual participation.

  1. At many meets coaches will use their discretion in attempting to get every capable swimmer the opportunity to swim on a relay.
